“Return a Smile to a Hero”. — Demidov & Poteryayko Dental Clinic, Irpin
After the de-occupation in late March 2022, Kyiv region slowly recovered from destruction and uncertainty. The Demidov & Poteryayko clinic in Irpin was among the first to resume work once possible.
“We are going — said the staff,” recalls Ihor Poteryayko. “The team didn’t ask for any guarantees of immediate payment. For us, returning to work to help people was what mattered most.”
The clinic retained all 30 workstations, professional atmosphere, and fighting spirit. Patients arrived immediately — civilians and military alike.
“It was inspiring to see legendary heroes seeking care, like Oleksandr Kuznetsov, fighters of the Irpin Territorial Defense, and many others,” says Ihor. Initially, care was provided using basic materials. Collaboration with Dental Help UA allows the clinic to offer much more, using high-quality materials from world-class brands.
Today, soldiers who serve in active combat zones receive high-quality dental care, usually during a 7–10 day leave, covering everything from sanitation and treatment to implants.
Dr. Zoryana Pryshlyak, implant surgeon at the clinic, adds: “Our patients are soldiers always on the front line. Some come with complex injuries — one was even in an Ilizarov apparatus and plaster. Thanks to Dental Help UA, we quickly receive and place implants, so soldiers return to the front with their smiles restored.” says Pryshlyak
Ihor Poteryayko notes the project’s potential for growth: “There is growing demand for prosthetic constructions. The more support we receive from partners, the more good we can do for soldiers. Dental Help UA must scale, as the need for quality dental rehabilitation will only increase. We must be ready.”
