EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW PROJECT “MISSION: FULL RESTORATION”

Dear colleagues,

This year, the charitable foundation Dental Help UA celebrated its third anniversary. Thanks to your professionalism, support from international partners, and the dedicated work of our team, through the project “Return a Smile to a Hero”, we have provided dental care to over 2,100 veterans.

The war continues, and we—both the fund and dental clinics—feel the impact of objective circumstances that require new solutions and actions. The number of military personnel with mine-explosive injuries and maxillofacial trauma is increasing. Moreover, more and more former prisoners of war are returning home, and these categories of veterans often require treatment for full or partial edentulism. We understand the complexity and, of course, the cost of such procedures. Therefore, we decided to act, creating a new assistance program and relieving you of part of the financial burden.

This is how the new project “Mission: Full Restoration” was launched this fall.

At the same time, the project “Return a Smile to a Hero” continues its work. This allows us to expand the scope of assistance to veterans and give clinics more opportunities to take on complex full rehabilitations.

Project Highlights

1. Focus on full rehabilitations of veterans with edentulism in one or both jaws.

2. Number of cases per year: 30. This is the number we can currently co-finance. We hope to increase this number in the future.

3. Patient selection: Clinics submit applications after an initial diagnosis, and the Fund Council makes the final decision for each case.

4. Financial model: The fund provides implants and components, as well as funds of €2,000 for two jaws or €1,000 for one jaw. The prosthetic stage is completed in collaboration with laboratories that the fund has agreements with, or with a lab proposed by the doctor. We cooperate under special conditions; details are available from fund coordinators.

5. All products and funds are provided only after signing a tripartite agreement.

6. Transparency and accountability: Each case is documented and published on the fund’s social media, the doctor’s or clinic’s pages, and on the fund’s website.
