Dental Help UA Updates Application Criteria for Soldiers

Straight to the point.

Starting July 1, we are introducing new criteria to determine which servicemen and servicewomen will receive free dental implants. Today, our approach at the foundation is simple: we treat those who need it the most right now.

Details about the new criteria are available on our website in the “For Patients” section.

We had to pause for a while to ensure that Dental Help UA could operate as effectively as possible.

Over the past year, we’ve realized that running the foundation successfully requires a lot — both financially and technically.

We need implants, related components, reliable partners, a dedicated team to keep the foundation running, and motivated partner clinics.

A year of working with servicemen and servicewomen has shown that they often have limited time for implants and cannot commit to rehabilitation. Surgery may happen at your clinics and then immediately on the front line. But there, our men and women can face complications due to lack of hygiene, proper nutrition, and other factors affecting implant integration.

We have another important update: our partner, Straumann Group, has confirmed a new batch of implants and components for the free rehabilitation of servicemen and servicewomen. We’ll share more details next week — there are new items and a wider assortment.

We want to thank our volunteer dentists for your expertise, time, and dedication.

And thank you to our Heroes — you defend the country and its people, and we will continue doing everything we can to restore your smiles.

There is still much important work ahead of us, so we keep moving forward together.
